Issue/Introduction

Description:

When attempting to view a job log the following is displayed: Error: Failed to get the job log: Directory /home/autosys/some_directory is NOT authorized. Please contact your Web Administrator.

Solution:

There must be a corresponding entry granting access to the directory in the valid_dirs file on the remote agent machine. If the entry does not exist it must be added and RCS must be restarted. The valid_dirs file is typically located in /opt/CA/SharedComponents/UnicenterAutoSysJM/data for UNIX. For Windows it is typically located in C:\Program Files\CA\UnicenterAutosysJM.common\data.

A common pitfall is to define the entry with the trailing slash. This will cause an error.
Example:
/home/autosys/some_directory/

It should be:
/home/autosys/some_directory
