Issue/Introduction

Description:

Some ports are blocked by the firewall in my organization which includes port 4728 used by the DSM port multiplexer.
Is there a way to reconfigure this port as opening this port on the firewall needs many internal approvals?

Solution:

The DSM multiplexer can be configured to use a different port by modifying the following configuration policy with the desired port number:

Configuration Policy->Default Computer Policy->DSM->common components->networking->protocols->Port Multiplexer->Port Multiplexer port number. The default port is 4728.
