Issue/Introduction

Description:

When altering a column in RC/Update to increase the length of the column name to more than 30 bytes, it does not allow input past 30 bytes

Solution:

In DB2 V8, the SQL limit for the name of a column is 30 bytes. Limits on other items have also been increased. The SQL limits can be found in the IBM documentation DB2 UDB for z/OS Reference (SC18-7426-05), Appendix A.
