TPX - Session Management Vman Session Management for z/OS

Issue/Introduction

Using international language (Swedish).  TPX documentation for setting up security suggests naming the Resource Class CA$TPX.  We are using CA<swedishspecialchar>TPX.

We are trying to set up CA TPX profile-level profile selection with external security by defining resource class CA<swedishspecialchar>TPX but no profiles are assigned to the dynamic user at signon other than the default profile.  This results in less sessions on the user's TPX menu than they should have.

Environment

Release: NVINAM00200-5.3-TPX-Session Management-Access Management package
Component:

Cause

Emulator and mainframe are using different codepages.

There can be differences for special characters when using international languages and codepages.

Resolution

To avoid potential problems, define a security resource class name that does not include any special characters.

In this case, after changing resource class name from CA<swedishspecialchar>TPX  to CATPX in security and TPX SMRT, profiles were correctly assigned to users during signon.
