Issue/Introduction

Question:

Is it possible to control the TSOLSIZE specified, when an ACID logs on, so that a default set by us is used?

Answer:

In CA Top Secret, the maximum region size can be controlled for an ACID using the CA Top Secret keyword TSOMSIZE.

There is no way in CA Top Secret to stop the user from changing the:

'Size     ===>'

field on the TSO signon screen to a value up to the TSOMSIZE.

To set the maximum region size for an ACID, issue:

TSS ADD(acid) TSOMSIZE(nnnnn)

where 'nnnnn' is a one to seven digit value for the maximum region size (in kilobytes) that a TSO user may specify at signon.

The default TSOMSIZE is not controlled by CA Top Secret. It is controlled by TSO. TSO said if TSOMSIZE is not specified, the default will be what is available under the 16MB line. And there are special circumstances where it could go above for a few users.

Additional Information:

Please refer to the CA Top Secret Command Functions Guide for more details about TSS ADD and TSOMSIZE.
