Issue/Introduction

Description

Why is message "DBO0009I ENVIRONMENTAL PARAMETERS: NOT APF AUTH" issued when DBO runs in IBM compatibility mode, even if the STEPLIB concatenation is APF-authorized?

Solution

DBO runs unauthorized in IBM compatibility mode because the IMS region controller, DFSRRC00, sheds authorization before linking to the DFSURGU0 utility module, which DBO frontends to receive control. DBO will still run authorized in native mode if the STEPLIB concatenation has been APF authorized.
