APAS Insight Monitor for Adabas PLEU

Issue/Introduction

Description:

Running a CA APAS request that summarizes the count of Adabas commands for the entire duration of the MPM session, one would expect the Adabas command counts reported by CA APAS to match the Adabas MPM shutdown statistics command counts. However, the CA APAS reported counts are less than the command counts in the Adabas MPM shutdown statistics.

Solution:

The discrepancy comes from Adabas utilities such as ADAREP reports. The commands generated by Adabas utilities are not passed to the Adabas Command Log exit, UEX4, like regular Adabas commands which means these Adabas utility generated commands are not seen and therefore cannot be reported by CA APAS. The more Adabas utilities run during an Adabas MPM session, the greater the discrepancy in the command totals between CA APAS and the Adabas MPM shutdown statistics.
