Issue/Introduction

CA Ideal IDBATCH fails with message ICSCBTIN13E - THE VPE $RBS  FAILED, RC 0002

 

Environment

CA IDEAL  15.1 

Cause

IPC and/or IDEAL file entries are missing in the IDEAL batch file table @IIDSYSF. 

Resolution

Reassemble/link @IIDSYSF by running ILCUS01. 

Make sure that IPC 15.1 CAVQSAMP member IPCVPEB is included in STEPC1D.

To include the IDEAL SYSTEM user libraries , uncomment COPY IDUSRFT.

Additional Information

ICSCBTIN13 $RBS RC=2 indicates a problem accessing a VLS file.

The 'RBS' stands for 'read block sequential' and RC 02 says that a file doesn't exist or isn't open.

A SCBTIN  message with RC 02 indicates that the READ BLOCK from SEQUENTIAL macro failed to read the Command Stream. This is an indication that the batch file table @IIDSYSF must be reassembled.
