Issue/Introduction

Description:

When doing an upgrade of Top Secret to 12.0 the following statements may be seen:

IEW2456E 9207 SYMBOL DSNHLI UNRESOLVED. MEMBER COULD NOT BE INCLUDED FROM
THE DESIGNATED CALL LIBRARY.
IEW2456E 9207 SYMBOL DSNTIAR UNRESOLVED. MEMBER COULD NOT BE INCLUDED FROM
THE DESIGNATED CALL LIBRARY.

What action needs to be taken when these messages are seen?

Solution:

The DSNHLI and DSNTIAR modules are DB2 modules. If you are not running DB2 or are not going to use the CIA feature of TSS r12, these unresolved references can be ignored. If you are going to use the CIA feature of TSS r12, this requires DB2 and the unresolved references will be resolved during the bind, which is a separate step in the CIA install process.

More information on CIA can be found in the Compliance Information Analysis Guide for Top Secret r12.
