Issue/Introduction

Description:

When the end user created a new Journal Control Dataset (JCSCDS) for CA Filesave RCS Automated Recovery the IDCAMS REPRO step to initialize the file failed. The original JCL from the install can be found in CAI.FILESAVE.SAMPLIB($JCSCDS). The first step does an IDCAMS Delete/Define of the JCSCDS and the second step does an IDCAMS REPRO from CAI.FILESAVE.CNTLRECD dataset which was created during product install. During examination of the CNTLRECD dataset it was determined that it had been corrupted.

Solution:

Recreate the CNTLRECD dataset which was created during the initial installation of CA Filesave RCS Automated Recovery. The original JCL from the install can be found in CAI.FILESAVE.SAMPLIB($UNLOAD). The $UNLOAD JCL downloads the JCSCDS initialization control record for the install tape. The CA Filesave RCS Automated Recovery install tape is required to run this JCL.
