Can the FMIDs for products that are not going to be used be deleted from the SMP/E Receive job?

Issue/Introduction

Description

Using SDM to install a new release of the CA IMS tools, to select the following products from the 'select and process products' screen -Database Analyzer, DC Monitor Ext, Common Services, and Secondary Index. When the SMP/E Receive job is reviewed, all of the FMIDs for all of the Products are in the SELECT statement. Can the FMIDs for the Products that are not going to be used be deleted?

Solution

You should not delete these other Products from the SMP/E Receive job. The other Products are actually Functions of the selected Products and are required. The Product Information Packet details this under 'General Installation Information'.
