Issue/Introduction

Question:

The CA Top Secret TSSCICS Application Interface can be used to issue TSS commands from a user application.

When using the TSSCICS Application Interface, the CICS COMMAREA or CICS Temporary Storage Queue used to pass the TSS command is quite large and could fit more than one CA Top Secret command.

Can more than one TSS command be issued on a single TSSCICS call?

Answer:

Only one TSS command can be issued per TSSCICS call.

A single TSS command needs to be processed continually from beginning to end to complete each TSSCICS call.

Multiple TSS commands on a single TSSCICS call would be read in as one invalid command.

Additional Information:

Please refer to the CA Top Secret Implementation: CICS Guide for more details about the CA Top Secret TSSCICS Application Interface.
