Issue/Introduction

Customer has defined $ACCESS MODE=L to record access information by PDSM17.
Customer asked what an error message would be issued when PDSMAN failed to record SMF data and if it would be a highlighted message.

Environment

PDSMAN with $ACCESS MODE=L rule

Resolution

The PDSMSMFW-1 message will be issued to indicate the attempt to write a Log record failed. The log record is lost. This failure occurs if the SMF log is full or SMF has some operational problem.
