Issue/Introduction

Description:

The following document explains how the end user can get the CA Vulnerability Manager to scan the asset immediately instead of waiting for the scheduled scan.

Solution:

By default, the VM Service performs a scan whenever an asset is booted. In the event that you would like to perform a scan during a non-scheduled time period, you can use the Auto-Inventory 'Inventory Now' feature to perform an on-demand scan or manually stop and restart the VM Service from the host at any time by using the Windows Services Administrative Tools Stop/Start function.
