COMMON SERVICES FOR Z/OS Common Services CHORUS SOFTWARE MANAGER

Issue/Introduction

A CAS9615I message may be issued during CAIENF startup, during the initialization of CCI services.

This message will occur if there is no CCI SYSID statement defined, but both the CCI FMID is installed and the DCM(CAS9DCM3) statement was defined in ENFPARMS.

This message will be accompanied by message: CAS9635E - CAICCI NETWORK MANAGER TERMINATED WITH ERROR.

Environment

Release:
Component: CCIMVS

Resolution

If you are not planning to use CCI services then you can ignore the message (CAS9615I and CAS9635E).

If you require CCI services, define a SYSID value within the CCI parameter file.

The CCI parameter file is delivered as member CCIPARM within the PPOPTION file, and is referenced via the //ENFPARMS DD statement of the ENF procedure.

The default ENF procedure has the reference to CCIPARM commented. Therefore you will need to uncomment the necessary JCL statements.

Further information relating to CCI control options and setup can be found in the Common Components and Services for z/OS documentation
