Issue/Introduction

In some specific scenarios you may want to put the SiteMinder Installer program in debug mode.

 

Environment

Release: 12.8.XX (Applicable to all the fully supported releases)

Cause

• When the Installer Program finishes with no error.
  
  
• When the installer Program is failing over and over with no reason.

Resolution

To run an installer in debug mode:

------ Unix: 

To capture the debug output from the Unix command line developers need to perform the following: enter one of the following (based on which shell) at the command line prior to executing the installer:

export LAX_DEBUG=true "or" setenv LAX_DEBUG true "or" LAX_DEBUG=true "or" set LAX_DEBUG "or" whatever would be appropriate for the Unix shell.
