Running in Compatibility Mode with NEWFUNC=N should generate the same results as running under release 6.4 0311 of Easytrieve.

Issue/Introduction

Description:

Running a program as compile and go under CA Easytrieve r11.x with NEWFUNC set to N will generate the same code as if the program were run under CA Easytrieve Plus release 6.4 0311.

Resolution

Solution:

The results should be the same as long as your EZTPOPT module from release 6.4 has been copied into the EZTPOPT member of the r11.0/r11.5 cailib or the r11.6 cbaaload. Please note that NEWFUNC set to N will not pick up any new functionality and is recommended to be used only when a problem is encountered in a program and the program is awaiting a fix for R11.x.
