Issue/Introduction

Description:

A PDA Extract for a large 4GB Object ( e.g. created with DSSIZE 16GB ) results in an error, message as follows:

Collection of TS - dbname .tsname - Failed audit
Collection of TS - dbname .tsname .partno - Incomplete
==> AUDIT MESSAGES FOR TABLESPACE dbname.tsname
==> VSAM ERROR - 122 - RETRIEVING DATA PAGE: nnnnnnn

NOTE: For audit error details use PDA 'Log Reporting' menu option. Enter 'H' line command next to the audit error message.

Solution:

This can be caused by an intermittent problem when using the DIV access method on objects where there is high activity during the PDA statistics collection.
Try changing the Object Read Access field on the PDA profile screen to V/EXCP.
Then regenerate the Batch Extract JCL.
