Issue/Introduction

Description:

The following error occurs while trying to create a 'Service Desk' ticket via the DSM server:
Service Desk Integration Error; A database called failed [CMM000253]

TRC_CM_OBJECT_MGR_x.log shows the following error:

COAPI_CDataAccess::CreateAdHocTicketURL failed with return code <253>

Solution:

This error occurs when the 'WebClient' service is not running on the DSM server.

The 'WebClient' services enables Windows-based programs to create, access, and modify Internet-based files.
If this service is stopped, these functions will not be available. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depends on it will fail to start.
