Description:

$$SYSPRO is a procedure which delivers a system profile of the user's environment. Whey you execute it from OCS or Command Entry its output contains System Initialization Parameters, SOLVE License Information, Actual System Status, current SYSPARMS Settings, NCL Global Variables, Buffer/Storage Utilization, UDB-, NDB-, LSR-, LINK- and ISR- Informations.

This video explains the new Option 'APAR' which was implemented with APAR NZ38507.

"Hello, this video deals with the new Option APAR which was added into the command $$SYSPRO. You have this feature available in your instal-lation if you are running Version 11.6 of any product of the SOLVE-suite. If you are still run-ning version 11.5, then you need to have APAR NZ38507 applied which is available with Service Pack SP01.OCS
$$SYSPRO is a command (more exactly the OML procedure $$SYSPRO) which delivers a system profile of the users environment. Whey you execute it from OCS or Command Entry its output contains general informations, System Initialization Parameters, ...Enter $$SYSPRO in OCS and hit <ENTER>

... allocated datasets, ...press PF08 twice
... Members prefixed with $ in the first Command Library. NCLs and OMLs prefixes with a $-sign are distributed by CA. This section of the output gives an overview of all such NCLs and OMLs which are in the first Command Library, normally the TESTEXEC. Then you have informations about UDBs ...press PF08 four times
... and NDBs, VSAM-datasets, about links to other regions and finally a long list of all Sysparms.press PF08

Now $$SYSPARM has a new parameter APAR. Using this, all members starting with $ in the command concatenation are listed. Those located in the first library are displayed in white. In co-lumn APAR you can see the latest APAR applied. That might be very useful information ! This display is limited for members starting with $. For all other members the APAR column is empty.Enter $$SYSPRO APAR

Using this parameter you get a list of all procedures in the command library concatenated with the current level of maintenance. This list can be shortened by providing a prefix for the procedures, for example $SY.Press PF03

Finally, option SHORT is available, if you use a prefix. This option limits the search to the first library in the concatenation which is normally the TESTEXEC library. In our example we have only two members in the TESTEXEC.
