Issue/Introduction

Question:

After creating a certificate request and receiving the signed certificate back from the 3rd party Certificate Authority like (Geotrust, Verisign, Godaddy), can the unsigned certificate, certificate signing request dataset and related datasets be deleted?

Answer:

Yes. If the certificate has been re-added to the CA Top Secret Security File, after its been signed by the 3rd party Certificate Authority, the original unsigned certificate and the certificate signing request datasets and related datasets can be deleted.
