Issue/Introduction

I see these alerts  from exchange_monitor

 exchange_monitor: - (ntevl_init): Start event monitoring

 (services_init): Start service monitoring

What do these mean? 

Environment

UIM, exchange_monitor

Cause

The exchange_monitor probe uses the following probes to obtain this information or metrics:

• Performance metrics are captured by perfmon probe
• Services are captured by ntservices probe
• Events are captured by ntevl probe
• Process metrics are captured by processes probe and deactivated 

The alarm “ (ntevl_init):start event monitoring – not found is coming could be due to ntevl probe is not existing on the machine where probe is installed or ntevl probe is deployed on and deactivated 

(services_init): Start service monitoring - not found indicate that ntservices probe is not existing on the machine where probe is installed or ntservices probe is deployed and deactivated 

Resolution

Please make sure the following probes are deployed and activated on the same node where exchange_monitor is deployed

• ntevl
• ntservices
• processes
• perfmon
