Issue/Introduction

Received error message LIBC012E FAIROPN FAILED FOR MASTER; RC = 15 while executing LIBRCOPY. What does this mean?

Resolution

The RC=15 is usually an authorization problem. It is most likely on the FROM
Master. You will get a little different message for the DESMAST, User was not
authorized access to the master file in question.
You should expect to see some type of logging in your Security package for this also.
