Issue/Introduction

Description:

The default session timeout in EEM is 24 hours. However, this can be modified. This document explains the steps to provide a custom session timeout in EEM.

Solution:

In Embedded Entitlements Manager 8.3 and 8.4 the default session timeout is set to 24 hours. However, it can be modified.

Steps to modify the default session time out.

  1. From Windows Services stop the iTechnology iGateway service. See Figure 1

  2. Open the iAuthority.conf file present under C:\Program Files\CA\SharedComponents\iTechnology folder

  3. Add the following line before the </iSponsor> closing tag
    <CredentialLifeTime>N</CredentialLifeTime> where N is the number of hours for session timeout. See Figure 2

  4. Start the CA iTechnology iGateway service from Windows Services.
