Issue/Introduction

Description:

Steps to reproduce the error:

  1. Go to Administration tab > Security and Role Management > Contacts.

  2. Click create new and in Create New Contact window, click on Merge button.

  3. In the window, click on search and received an error "LDAP Agent not enabled (Last Name like %)".

Following error may appear in the stdlog file:

ldap_agent_nxd 3712 ERROR ldap_agent.c 2349 LDAP Server group search filter missing; LDAP disabled

Solution:

This issue occurs if the option "LDAP_GROUP_OBJECT_CLASS" from options manager is not installed. To resolve the issue, install the option "LDAP_GROUP_OBJECT_CLASS" with the default value "group" and recycle services. Also, verify if the value for @NX_LDAP_GROUP_OBJECT_CLASS is set to "group" in NX.ENV file.
