Issue/Introduction

Description

When starting a new CA LDAP r12 for Top Secret started task, it receives the following messages:

BPXM047I BPXBATCH FAILED BECAUSE SPAWN (BPX1SPN) OF 791
slapd FAILED WITH RETURN CODE 0000009D REASON CODE 0B1B0473.

Solution

There are different reasons why this happens:

1. The first one to check is the directory, where LDAP has been installed:
   
   Check in the "slapd.env" the HOME=; PATH=; LIBPATH=; variables, they must point to the directory where LDAP has been installed.
   
   
2. The other reason is due to LDAP started taks has got an EXEC PGM= BPXBATA8, which is the authorized version of BPXBATCH, and the Shared Address Space bit is off.
   
   
   1. You can use EXEC PGM= BPXBATCH instead of BPXBATA8.
      
      
   2. You can keep EXEC PGM= BPXBATA8 and turn on the Shared Address Space bit.
      
      To see the extended attributes enter: l -E
      
      To set on the extended attributes enter: extattr +aps *.dll slapd rmttso

Note: Enter these unix commands in the LDAP Installation directory.

Use of BPXBATCH also works when S bit is on.
