Issue/Introduction

Description:

Yes, the caunint user needs to be a member of the local administrators group. During the CA NSM installation a local caunint account is automatically created with the correct rights and added to the local administrators group. In order to use a domain account with the product successfully, this same access needs to be granted to the domain user.

Solution:

During the NSM installation a local caunint account is automatically created with the correct rights and added to the local administrators group. To successfully use a domain account with the product, this same access needs to be granted to the domain user. This access includes being a member of the local administrators group and the following rights:

  • Act as part of the Operating System

  • Log on as a batch Job

  • Increase quotas

  • Log on as a service

  • Log on locally

  • Replace a process level token

It may be possible to run with different access, however, this is tested and certified and therefore the only supported configuration.
