Description:

I receive this error in the udpmConfig log: What is the meaning of this error and how can I resolve it?

 Command failed with code=-1: "C:\Program Files\CA\Unicenter DCC\plugins\idd\cfgref\tmp_extr_uvsymnt.cmd" Problems encountered while trying to extract configuration data...

Solution:

The operating system first checks the local host files before querying the DNS server for the correct host name.

Please check the host file which is located under on the UDCC portal machine and for the agent machine:-

 X:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\host

Please check the entries relating to UDCC portal and the Insight Agent - they should be listed in this order:-

 <IP Address><FQDN><Hostname>

Afterwards please reconfigure the agent.
