Step by step instruction on how to upgrade from CMDB 11.1 to CMDB 11.2.
Solution
Make sure Both Primary and secondary Services are up and running.
Install CMDB 11.2 on primary server. Follow the installation steps, and configure when prompted.
Install CMDB 11.2 on all secondary servers. Follow the installation steps and configure when prompted.

Click Install CA CMDB Components (See image above)

Select "Install CA CMDB Remote Components". (this needs to be run on the SQL Server. This upgrades MDB) (See image above)

Enter the ServiceDesk DB user password & click Next (See image above)

On DB server select NO then Next (See image above)

Click Finish to upgrade MDB. (See image above)

Make sure to check user temp folder for install_mdb.log for any errors during remote components. If there are any errors install will not completely successfully, in the event there is no file in user temp check entire drive and hidden files for that install_mdb log or setup mdb log.

Exit Installer. You can check the table vis_configuration in the MDB to see if they are created to check this last step.
CMDB Installation (Primary & Secondary Server )
- If installing on the secondary server, steps in red)
Switch to ServiceDesk Server (if necessary) & launch setup.exe.

Values should be the same for both Primary & Secondary Servers. Provide:
ServiceDesk OS User & Password (User ServiceDesk )
Rhduser OS User & Password (User rhuser )

**** If you get an error stating you are in DB_Admin mode, this is because there is a secondary and it hasn't been upgraded yet. Just click OK to continue. If no secondary server, restart Tomcat after installation is complete (pdm_tomcat_nxd.exe -d start).
After a couple of progress windows appear & ServiceDesk is restarted a couple of times the below window appears.

In the event you run into the following:
While installing CMDB 11.2 on secondary it should recognize that it is already a secondary install, if not you will see this screen below. If you do get this make sure to UNCHECK server so that it makes this a secondary install. You can read the description to the right of the check list for more details. Note this screen would come right after the folder destination screens of the install.

When installing CMDB 11.2 on secondary if you receive the following error message:

Go to start run regedit and find the following entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ComputerAssociates\CA Service Deskand look for a CA CMDB entry, if it exists delete the entry completely and run installer again.
Any other issues or errors you might encounter contact support and open an issue, but this will upgrade your environment correctly and also cover every possible error you might encounter in the process.
