Issue/Introduction

Using CA Jobtrac JM r11, this Knowledge Document will show you how to find out if an event will be scheduled on a certain date.

Things to consider when running forecasts:

  • CA Datacom must be active.

  • CA Jobtrac JM must have been initialized.

  • If a forecast schedule is run for current date, late indicators can be posted to the event status.

  • Once a schedule is loaded to the forecast database, you can make changes through the ISPF interface.

  • All the events for a forecast token can be cleared off before schedule load.

  • You can then start new, or you can load additional schedules.

  • If you attempt to specify the production database for a forecast, the forecast issues a message and terminates the forecast.
The forecast checkpoint looks and acts like the production schedule, but no events will submit.
