Is there any Quick fix for a NULL POINTER EXCEPTION?

After creating the directory (AD), then create environment (AD), then start the environment and finally manage environment using URL http://host:8080/idm/ad I receive a null pointer exception in browser?


If this is your PRODUCTION system it is highly suggested that you contact CA Technical Support for assistance.
If this is your development/test/sand-box server the following is suggested:
Do you have another working environment of IDMGR r12 on another Windows node?
Do you have a backup of the user_console.rar?
Take the user_console.war folder (subdir files and folders) from the working IDMr12 env and put it on the (DEV/TEST) Null Pointer Exception IDMr12 env and this may resolve the null pointer exception .
