Issue/Introduction

Description:

Is there a CA Top Secret (TSO or CICS) command which will display the version/release of CA Top Secret that is currently running?

Solution:

TSS MODIFY(VERSION) will show the release and maintenance level of CA Top Secret that is running. In order to issue this in CICS, the CSD entries for the transaction 'TSS' and associated programs must be defined to CICS. Member TSSCSD in the CA Top Secret SAMPJCL library contains the JCL for the CSD entries for the TSS transactions and programs.

The ACID issuing the TSS MODIFY(VERSION) command needs the CONSOLE attribute on it.

TSS ADD(acid) CONSOLE
