On z/VSE 4.1 ... with interface to DYNAMCMS ... and IBM 3494 Robot
after drive was attached by DYNAMCMS we received:

An error of this kind may occur, if an error in the definition of the density for a tape dataset is made.
The density associated with drive 900 (for example, '08M') has been removed (by mistake) from the catalog DSN entry !
The density defined in the catalog DSN entry does not match the density that can be written by drive 900 !
The VOLSER mounted on drive 900 has been initialized with the wrong density !
Review the DSN catalog for either the missing and/or incorrect definition or the VOLSER intiailization for the type of drive and make the appropriate correction(s),
