Issue/Introduction

With JCLCheck runtime options SECURITY and USER(uid) activated, an error message "CAY6321W POTENTIAL SECURITY VIOLATION DETECTED 'USER SIGNON'" is produced when running JCLCheck in ISPF.

This error is not seen when running JCLCheck in batch mode. The security environment is Top Secret.

Environment

Release: 12.0

Component: JCLCheck Workload Automation

Resolution

The user id submitted to JCLCheck for security prevalidation must have proper TSO access authority defined to Top Secret.  Without the proper TSO access authority, JCLCheck is unable to perform a virtual signon, and will issue the above error message.

If a virtual signon is completed successfully, JCLCheck issues the following informational message: "CAY6320I USER 'uid' VIRTUAL SIGNON TO CAISSF COMPLETE".
