In Windows 2008 with IIS 7.0, IIS 6.0 Management Compatibility must be installed as a server role in order to install the Web Viewer.

First, please verify that the Metabase Compatibility component of IIS 7.0 is installed on the machine. This component is not installed by default.

If it is not installed, Use the Server Manager tool, (Start->Administrative Tools->Server Manager), and check the "IIS 6.0 Management Compatibility" component to install it.
