Description:
Why are there so many igateway processes running on my AutoSys 11.0 server running on RedHat Linux?
Solution:
The igateway version that is currently bundled with AutoSys r11 for Linux is compiled against a kernel that uses an older threading model where threads show up as processes in a ps list. Due to this it is normal to see many igateway processes running in the ps output from a Linux machine. All but one of them are threads. Other O/S versions of igateway will show only one process. This will change in a future release of AutoSys when a newer version of igateway is bundled.
