U0550 is not included in the Panvalet documentation.
We have had a few reports of new TSO users receiving the following error when trying to create a new member using Panvalet ISPF:
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ISPF processor ended abnormally * * * * * * * * User abend code 0550 * * * * Reason code * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Note: The ABEND and REASON codes displayed above are * * * * HEXADECIMAL values for "SYSTEM" abends and DECIMAL * * * * values for "USER" abends. * * * * * * * * Enter HELP command for list of common ABEND codes. * * * * Press ENTER key for additional DIAGNOSTIC information. * * * * Enter END command to display primary option menu. * * * * * *
This is not included in the Panvalet documentation because it is an IBM error. It is related to attempting to VCOPY variables that are used to
create the DUMMY EDIT Dataset for IBM ISPF for EDIT/BROWSE. The variables in question would be ZPREFIX, ZUSER, ZLANG.
The solution is to create a new Userid.ISPF.Profile then logoff ISPF and log back on to ISPF with the new empty profile.
