Description:

These settings is available in Business Objects Enterprise Java Administration interface.

Solution:

When configuring LDAP authentication, the LDAP Server Administration Credentials "cn" value must be the fully qualified name (First Name, Last Name). Configuring LDAP authentication allows you to re-map LDAP attributes to use the user's logon name.

To configure Business Objects LDAP Authentication

  1. Log into the Business Objects Enterprise Java Administration Launch pad as Administrator.

  2. Access the Central Management Console (CMC).
Click Authentication under the Manage section and the Enterprise tab.

  3. Click the LDAP tab.

  4. Click the LDAP Server Type value.

Note: The value should be "Custom".

  5. Click Show Attribute Mappings.

  6. Change the User Name and the Default User Search Attribute to "sAMAccountName".

  7. Click Finish.

  8. Click Update on the LDAP tab.
