Issue/Introduction

VM:Secure has been running for awhile and getting this message:

VMXSYS0481W THE VM:Secure BKUP DATABASE DISK IS 81% FULL.

Environment

Release: all
Component: VM:Secure

Resolution

The BKUP disk, normally the 1B1, is updated when changes are made to the files on the DRCT disk (1B0). A copy of the user ID file prior to the change is put on this disk. Over time, this disk can fill up. Running the VMXBKP01 utility will not only clear off the files that have been put to this disk, but will also do a critical backup of the DRCT disk and create a usable USER DIRECT file to use in case of an emergency.

This utility is documented in the VM:Secure Reference Guide, Utility Reference. Please review this documentation to understand how to set it up and the functions it provides.

It is recommended that you periodically schedule this utility to run.
