Description:

The connection from the System Agent to the mainframe drops occasionally. How can this be fixed?

Resolution

Look in the transmitter log for a message like the following:

CybTargetHandlerChannelLogHelper.logConnectionInfo[:131] - Opened
conversation to [email protected]:2000 with partner at
10.0.0.X:2611 with timeout of 10000 from 10.1.0.X:42222

This will indicate that you have the time out value for the Agent set to 10,000 ms. This is the default. This value can be increased. It is recommended that it be increased to 120,000 ms.

To do so, insert/change the following command in the agentparm.txt file to increase the value to 120,000 ms.

communication.timeout=120000
