Issue/Introduction

Description

How do you connect from the client to the RSE Daemon of Rational? We encounter problem trying to connect to RDZ.

Solution

CA Top Secret maintenance may be needed:

• CA Top Secret r9.0 (unsupported release) requires RO00287.
  
  
• CA Top Secret r12.0 SP02 or above requires no additional maintenance.
  
  
• CA Top Secret r14.0 SP00 requires no additional maintenance.

The following steps are required for all realeases of CA Top Secret:

1. Please review CA Knowledge Document TEC492464.
   
   
2. Define a CA Top Secret Facility for RSED started task.
   
   FAC(USER11=NAME=RDZ)
   FAC(RDZ=PGM=***)
   FAC(RDZ=NOTSOC,RES,NOIJU,AUTHINIT)
   FAC(RDZ=MODE(FAIL))
   
   
3. Assign the newly defined FACILITY RDZ to the RSED started task.
   
   TSS ADD(STCRSE) MASTFAC(RDZ)
   
   
4. Authorize the RDZ user to the newly defind FACILITY RDZ.
   
   TSS ADD(acid) FAC(RDZ)
