Issue/Introduction

Description:

I have set up a system account username and password to never expire so that the monitoring of the database would never fail. What security measures are used and available to protect this password?

Solution:

The SSO (Single Sign-On) user password details are kept within the MDB; the MDB stores all the information for this. The SSO user information is secure and it is saved and encrypted uniquely to every portal user created.

Note: See the CA Database Management for Distributed Databases Implementation Guide for the setup of the SSO.
