Issue/Introduction

Question:

When an ACID that is 8 characters submits a job from CICS, the following error message is received:

TSS6091E TSS/CICS ACID NOT AUTHORIZED FOR JOB SUBMISSION

For ACIDs that are 7 characters or less, the submits are successful.

Answer:

Check the UIDACID= on the CICS facility. If UIDACID=7 is set and the submitting acid is 8 characters, the last character of the acid is truncated at submit time.
This needs to be changed to UIDACID=8.

Additional Information:

Please see the CA Top Secret Control Options Guide for more information on the UIDACID facility control option.
