Audit Store data with no info in Policy Server

Having configured SiteMinder Policy Server to Audit to an Oracle Database in the SiteMinder Management Console under the Data tab, the Audit Store has been created, and test the connection is successful, but no record can be seen in the Audit table.

The following query returns 0 rows:

  select * from smaccesslog4;




In this case, this is the expected behavior even though the audit connection has been configured in the SiteMinder Management Console when having not selected any event to audit.

Audit events can be enabled in the SiteMinder Management Console under the Logs Tab -> Policy Server Audit log.

The following events can be configured:

  • Authentication Events
  • Authorization Events
  • Affiliate Events.
  • Administration Access Events.
