Unable to register Policy Server connection due to error "No registration on file" in SiteMinder R12 WAM UI.

I have installed SiteMinder R12 WAM UI, but I have the following error when I try to register the Policy Server connection:

In order to register the Policy Server with the WAM UI two operations must be done:

  1. Register the wam ui client using the XPSRegClient command:

    Xpsregclient <client_name> -adminui -su

    For instance:

    xpsregclient wamuicli -adminui -su

  2. Register the Policy Server using the WAM UI.

    The above error is in the second step and it could be for 2 reasons:

    1. Customer did not register the wam ui client using the XPSRegClient command.

    2. The registration file is not longer present. When you run the XPSRegClient command a file is created

      For instance:

This file is good for 4 hours by default, after that period of time the policy server will delete the file.

If you try to execute the second step and the file is not present then you will get the above error.
