How to prevent ispf split session from failing with message '@TRACFAIL - JOBTRAC? DD CARD NOT FOUND IN TIOT OR TOKEN GIVEN INVALID'.

Resolution

CA Jobtrac Job Management does not allow it's ISPF session to use split screen (to allow for two CA Jobtrac JM sessions). If invoked, message: '@TRACFAIL - JOBTRAC? DD CARD NOT FOUND IN TIOT OR TOKEN GIVEN INVALID' is issued.

When this message is issue you will lose access to session1 and session2, you will then need to log off and then back on to re-establish the CA Jobtrac JM ISPF session. This occurs because the CA Jobtrac JM client for session2 frees any allocation that was allocated in session1.
