Recover a Plex crash due to a corrupted entry in the Plex.ini file

Issue/Introduction

If Plex crashes when I try to open it, there maybe some corruption in your Plex.ini file. How can I recover?

CA Plex all versions

Resolution

Replace the toolbar info sections at the end of the Plex.ini with the corresponding entries from a valid/working Plex.ini from another PC or try deleting the toolbar info sections from the end of the Plex.ini. That is, adding or deleting all the

[Control Bar State Info-Bar#]

settings(where # is an integer from 0 to 37). If this action does not help, please contact Broadcom Support.
