What is the meaning of RC=-3 when using WA CA 7 CCI REXX interface?

Issue/Introduction

Receiving RC=-3 when using CCI REXX or programs CAL2X2WA or CAL2X2WR.

Resolution

When using the CA 7 WA CCI REXX interface and you received a -3 return code from the REXX exec, this means the address CA7 WA environment is not being called.

Although there can be several causes and the most common cause is the program CAL2X2WA or CAL2X2WR is not accessible to the REXX environment using LINKLIST or STEPLIB.  It is also possible that the LOADLIB containing the programs is not APF authorized.

To start the debugging process make sure the program being addressed is accessible.
