Description

Found messages in log:

IPLO8204 IPLOG NDB error: action=START:1 return-code=51 status=CONTINUE
N87150 NDB IPLOG HAS STOPPED.
IPLO8224 IPLOG reorg processing FAILED: COULD NOT CLOSE IPLOG (RC=8)

Solution

There are two options to correct this error:

1. Delete and define a new IPLOG

-or-

• Repair the log using the NDB repair procedure:
  
  

  The syntax can be obtained by submitting NDB ALTER through Command Entry or OCS followed by PF01 (Help) and not ENTER key.
  
  Here are the sequence of commands to submit when NMTIP is running and the IPLOG is already opened:

1. Remove the Bad-Locked status.
   

      NDB PURGE IPLOG

2. Stop immediately the NDB to prevent concurrent access.

      NDB STOP IPLOG IMM

3. Check the Index
   

      NDB ALTER IPLOG OPT=CHKX DB WORK=NDBWORK DETAIL=YES

4. Rebuild the index
   

      NDB ALTER IPLOG OPT=BLDX DB WORK=NDBWORK DETAIL=YES

5. Restart the NDB
