SYSVIEW Performance Management Option for DB2 for z/OS
Issue/Introduction
Using Sysview for Db2 for z/OS (IDB2) VTAM User Interface and attempting to use the EXPLAIN process, the following error message is encountered:
DBG55096E - Function restricted by security.
Resolution
Changing the EXPLAIN= parameter in IDB2 Security file from EXPLAIN=TSO to EXPLAIN=ALL, and then rebinding the IDB2 plans/packages followed
by bouncing the Data Collector resolved the DBG55096E condition.
